Men's Bible Study Breakfasts

St. Mary's Whitechapel sponsors a twice-monthly men's bible study breakfast.  These breakfasts are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month beginning at 7:45 a.m.  These breakfasts are designed to be completed by 9 a.m. so that working attendees have time to travel to their respective employments.  Typically, from 8 am until 8:30 am, there is a showing of a DVD session of one of The Great Courses programs germane to the study of the bible (e.g. - The Old Testament, The New Testament, Great Figures of the New Testament, etc.)  About 8:30 am, the attendees will then discuss topics that were raised in the previous showing.  The DVD provides historical information regarding early Christianity and the discussion typically adds the spiritual element of Bible study.

The breakfasts are prepared by a wonderful cook whose fare alone makes attendance at the breakfast worthwhile.  There is a nominal charge ($7 - $10) for breakfast depending upon the cost of preparation.

The regulars look forward to your attendance at a future breakfast.  All are welcome regardless of religious affiliation.  Each breakfast will surely have Episcopalians, Methodists, Presbyterians, Roman Catholics and even a member of the Jewish faith on occasion.

Breakfasts begin at 7:45 am each 1st and 3rd Thursday, in the R. Glenn Courtney Parish House at St. Mary's Whitechapel Episcopal Church, 5940 Whitechapel Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
